Gosh, it’s been how long since I saw you last?

I understand. I just never get any visitors unless they hire someone new. Or fire someone old. Lemme call Liz and get it checked out.
CHARLIE
Wait. Elizabeth’s not in her office.
HELEN IN HR

CHARLIE I don’t have time the paperwork. Gimme call her after. It's not like I'm going anywhere.

You’re right, I’m sorry. Let me get Ashley’s file for you.
INT. EXPO - EARLY EVENING
Crowd MURMURS. FEEDBACK from a mic.
EMCEE (in mic) Can you hear me okay? Thumbs up? Good. And now for the best part of the evening, our keynote speaker.
WOMAN
I love you Spencer Wilson!!
EMCEE
I think it’s fair to say we all love the man about to step up to the podium. Our struggle for a white ethnostate would never be nearly as successful without him.

CHARLIE (O.S.)
Hey, Charl-ettes. I wanted you to hear this directly from me before you heard it anywhere else. But today I walked away from Sly News. I’m no longer ashamed to admit that Stephen Sly took advantage of me years ago, and I never came forward. My career was too important to me, so I stayed. Stephen hired me on as anchor out of his own guilt. Sure, I grew into the role, but I got there because I was groomed by a man double my age. And unfortunately, I’m not the only woman Stephen’s dangled his carrot in front of. He does this to all his pretty new hires. And the more they bend to his will, the faster our career takes off. As you can imagine, this has been awful for me.

I’m sorry, I didn’t expect to be this emotional, but I just couldn’t endure Stephen’s lies anymore.
VINNIE

ASHLEY

VINNIE

VINNIE
I know you don’t think that. You said your job was “everything.” Don’t let someone else ruin your career. Especially if what they’re saying’s not true. Now mic up.

SPENCER WILSON
This being your first WELL rally, what’d you take away from it?
ASHLEY
There are a lot of white supremacy groups. And for all ages.
SPENCER WILSON It’s diversity at its finest.
ASHLEY
And I saw the Proud Boys were here. I thought they denounced racism?
SPENCER WILSON
See, that’s where people get WELL wrong. We’re not racist. We’re pro white. It’s no different than saying ‘Black power’ or being pro- Israel. What’s racist is Black Entertainment Television. If we had white entertainment television people would be up in arms. But WELL isn’t like that. We don’t have malice or hate toward other races. We simply believe the white race should be separate because it’s superior.
ASHLEY

Taking your advice. I’m not going to let Charlie Cole ruin my career. I’m going to go out in public with the “most polarizing man in politics” then I’ll trend on social media and I’ll shut her story down. People will wanna hear my side of the story if they know who I am.

ASHLEY
